In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of leading music and podcast applications in the Netherlands showcased varied trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the top five applications on a unified platform.

HITSTER experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 93K and decreasing to around 19K by the end of March. Active users for the app from Koninklijke Jumbo B.V showed a recovery from 87K to nearly 97K towards the end of the quarter, despite a significant drop at the start.
